Government Agrees to India-Korea Pact for Maritime Education and Training Seafarers Certificate

The Government of India nods approval for a pact between India-Korea for recognition of certificates from both the countries on maritime education and seafarers training. Through the pact, there will be recognition of maritime education, endorsements and training issued by Government of other countries.

It is in accordance with the regulation 1/10 of International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for Seafarers, 1978.

The Union Cabinet Under chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the approval.
