IISc Bangalore tops the Indian University list in the freshly released QS World University Rankings 2016-2017

QS World University Rankings 2016-2017 released yesterday with IISc Bangalore topping the charts with respect to the performance of Indian Universities in the world rankings. It currently ranks at 152 in the world along with IIT Delhi coming in second with 185th rank. Indian university ranks have dropped from their rankings last year even though two Indian universities still feature in the top 200 universities in the world.

In the world rankings, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranks numero uno again 5th year in a row with 11 more universities of the United States of America featuring in the top 20 this year. There is a major drop in India's representation in the world rankings falling behind China and Brazil.

The QS World University Rankings are published annually which record the top universities in the world and is considered the best indicator of all the universities in the world.
