IIT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta and ISI students secure a salary package of 21.78 lakh rupees
In the current placement process for the first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA), a total of 52 offers were given to 51 students out of which 49 offers are domestic and the remaining 3 are international offers.
The PGDBA course is jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata.
IIM Calcutta sent out an official release which read, "The recently concluded final placement for the first batch (2015-2017) of the PGDBA witnessed an encouraging participation from the organisations from diverse industries."

The Fortune 500 companies that offered jobs were American Express, Walmart Labs, PWC, MasterCard, JPMC. Jobs offered under the consulting domain were offered by PWC US Advisory, Deloitte, Alvarez and Marsal and EXL Services. In the finance domain, the companies were American Express and MasterCard (Payments Analytics), Dunia Finance, Edelweiss Financial Services and Societe Generale.

The international offers came from Mitsubishi Fusi in Tokyo and Dunia Finance in Dubai. Meanwhile, Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase and Directi also participated in the entire placement process.
The average annual salary offered by domestic recruiters was Rs. 17.14 lakh with the highest being Rs. 20.14 lakh. The average annual package offered by international recruiters was Rs. 18.07 lakh with the highest being Rs. 21.78 lakh.
Professor Uttam Kumar Sarkar, Dean (NI and ER), IIM Calcutta said, "From day one we had been very upbeat about this tri-institute PGDBA programme designed with inputs from passionate experts of analytics industry and from those of the three premier institutes.
