A call from the Indian Institutes of Management is a big deal. So if you get a call from one of the leading IIMs in the country, IIM Ahmedabad, you will surely question it, right? That is exactly what happened to Vidit Garg. He received a call from IIMA that he had been selected. Of course he checked with his teacher at Edmyt if it really was true.

Vidit hails from Haryana and received a CAT score of 89.67 percentile which is considered on the lower side if you wish to get a place in the IIMs. So one can only imagine the disbelief he felt when he got the final selection letter from IIM Ahmedabad.

A general category student with 89.67 CAT percentile getting an entry into the Indian Institute of Ahmedabad is very rare according to his teachers at Edmyt.

Edmyt's Vijay Kalyan Jha was quoted saying, "We knew from experience that a thorough and incisive approach would see him through the second stage of AWT and Personal Interview (PI). The preparation started with a rigorous round of 'self-analysis'. We listed down more than 50 expected questions each from five crucial areas - namely past academic records, extra-curricular activities, work experience, goal clarity, and why IIMA."

Vidit went through a rigorous round of questioning and counter questioning to prepare himself for the PI round. He was made to write over 35 essays for AWT and the assessment was done on his style of writing, content and consistency in terms of logic.
