NEET instead of CET for Medical aspirants in Karnataka from 2017

The Common Entrance Test (CET) will no longer be considered for admission to Medical and Dental courses in Karnataka from 2017. The candidates will now have to appear for NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) from next year as per the announcement made by the state government.

NEET is a national entrance test for admission to medical colleges across India. As per the notification of Karnataka Exam Authority on its website says that NEET exam will be mandatory for all medical aspirants from 2017. Since NEET will be held for the first time in Karnataka, the Karnataka  Examination Authority has put up details about the registration process, exam pattern, eligibility criteria and previous year's question paper on their website.
