British Council Scholarship for Indian Students

The British Council has announced scholarships worth £1 million for Indian students in a bid to attract them to study in the UK. This scholarship program is part of the Great Britain Scholarships – India 2017.

British Council Director (South India), Mei-Kwei Barker said on Monday, “198 scholarships in subject areas ranging from art and design to engineering, law and management are on offer for students aspiring to study in the UK.”

29 under graduate and 169 postgraduate scholarships will be provided in the fields of Engineering, Law, Art and Design, and Management in total.

She also said, “UK provides the truly international education experience for students and presently five lakh overseas students are studying in the United Kingdom.”

Study UK: Discover You’ exhibition will be hosted by the British Council in Hyderabad on Tuesday for anyone who wishes to know more about the study and education opportunities in the UK.

Representatives from over 20 UK universities will be present at the exhibition and the aspirants can get their questions answered by them on various topics like the courses offered, visa work, college applications, scholarships, etc.

A mobile app, Study UK Discover You Exhibition 2017, was launched by the British Council in India with an aim to assist students and parents to plan their visit to the various education fairs and exhibitions arranged by the British Council, effectively.
