#4: Financial Support
Scholarships play a crucial role in making your college experience more affordable and free of financial-stress. The UK provides a host of scholarships and financial support for aspiring students. In 2018-19 alone, the UK government and the British Council offered 480 scholarships to Indian students, worth approximately £4.675m. Scholarships also make your resume stand out and give deserving students the opportunity to benefit from their hard work.
As a student who is aiming to move abroad for higher education, it can be overwhelming and rather challenging to decide every little detail. That’s where the education fairs can help you with planning and research. In the first week of February 2020, British Council is conducting ‘STUDY UK FAIRS’ in Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag , Coimbatore, Nagpur and Pune. At these fairs, prospective students and their parents will have the chance to meet representatives from several UK universities and also get first hand information on various scholarships like the GREAT Scholarships 2020, launched by the British Council in collaboration with the UK’s GREAT Britain Campaign. In addition to scholarships, the representatives will readily answer queries on studying in the UK.

Since your most crucial years of education are ahead of you, make an informed decision, attend education fairs, research about courses and universities, and then start your journey towards a fulfilling academic life.
